A Brief History:Island Painting was started back in 1995 in Easton, MD by Christopher Wright, with the sole intention of providing an unparalleled level of quality and professionalism in commercial and residential painting on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.Chris already had over 10 years experience in the construction and painting industry before forming the company and used that experience to create what is now the largest painting company in the Talbot, Queen Anne, and Kent county areas. From a starting staff of 2 painters and one vehicle, we have seen rapid and steady growth to the point where we now have fourteen 3-man crews and 17 company vehicles that stay busy year round. These fourteen crews are all run by foremen with at least 10 years experience in the painting industry, which allows us to meet our goals of providing the highest quality painting available. We also require all of our painters to be trustworthy, clean cut, polite, and uniformed to maintain our image and reputation as a first class operation. We also now have 3 people in administrative positions. This includes Chris as company president, Floyd W. Robinson as Supervisor of Operations and Sunny Smith as our Administrative Assistant. In 1998, Island Painting began expanding to the Stevensville and Annapolis areas and will soon have satellite shops/offices in those locations, to better service our customers in those places. Our projects range from small residential jobs to large commercial and residential jobs, with our specialty being "high end" custom built homes that the Eastern Shore is so famous for (see the portfolio page). Island Painting is looking forward to continuing our tradition of quality, professionalism and growth as we move into the 21st century.
